Pinterest est un site de partage de photos lancé en 2010. Le nom de la plate-forme vient de la contraction des termes « pin » et « interest », c’est-à-dire « épingler » et « intérêt ». Les utilisateurs peuvent donc partager leurs « intérêts » en épinglant des photographies sur des « tableaux » qu’ils garnissent. Les images proviennent surtout d’autres utilisateurs et d’un peu partout dans le web.
Retis Art sur Pinterest
Sur Pinterest, nous administrons le profil « Retis Art » depuis le début de 2014. Puisque cette plate-forme encourage la reprise d’images, nous y diffusons différentes photographies, prises par nous ou reprises à partir des tableaux d’autres utilisateurs. Nous les classons dans diverses rubriques avec des légendes descriptives, afin d’inciter la circulation de ces images. Les rubriques actuellement en place pour ce compte sont : « Public art », « Urban interventions », « Land art », « Yarn Bombing », « Outdoor / public spaces performances » et « Landscape architecture ».

Pinterest is an image-sharing website founded in 2010, whose name comes from the contraction of the words “pin” and “interest”. The website’s users can therefore pin their interests as images on virtual boards. The images are mostly re-pinned from other users or shared from various other websites.
On Pinterest, we manage the Retis Art account since the start of 2014. Since the platform mostly prompts the recirculation of existing images, we pin various photographs, either captured by us or shared from other users’ boards, which we then classify into different sections and caption to encourage their further dissemination.
The existing sections (or boards) for this account are “Public Art”, “Urban Interventions”, “Land Art”, “Yarn Bombing”, “Outdoor / Public Spaces Performances” and “Landscape Architecture”.
